The practice started off with six words: Think tank, Urbanism, Network, Design, Research and Architecture. This is also how the company is structured. We work as individuals in carefully tailored teams and networks, which are formed considering everyone’s specific area of expertise suitable for the project at hand. The company’s approach is embedded into our name TUNDRA: Think tank Urbanism, Network Design and Research Architecture. We are constantly looking for new ways to re-define and re-combine disciplines.
Think tank Urbanism
Think tank Urbanism stands for our interest in applying thinking outside architectural profession into our work. We believe in the importance of creating long term strategies in collaboration with specialists and interesting people. We are convinced of the importance of the Greek notion of agora – a place for dialogue.
Network Design
In the spirit of Marcel Duchamp, we are interested in setting new starting points for the world. Thus, we believe that by connecting individuals with their own unique and respective cultural backgrounds can be the thriving force of the office.
Research Architecture
We don’t design architecture, we produce architecture. We live in the culture of permanent change. This poses a certain need of elasticity for architecture and urban planning. Thus, we combine the latest research available to tackle any issue in creating better environments. Above all, whatever we do, we do it in a conscious way.
